Risk Residency at Ric’s

In October I started a new project called Risk for a residency at iconic Brisbane venue Ric’s Bar. Joining me each Wednesday night have been Steve Newcomb (organ) and Aaron Jansz (drums) and we’ve had some featured guests including Ben Hauptmann (SYD) on guitar and upcoming bassist Helen Svoboda.

The band is really starting to find its groove and a common language. It’s exciting to play with musicians who live up to the name of this group and who are open to the idea that something excellent might happen by taking a chance. I’m looking forward to keeping this residency going through November.
